Sen. Marsha Blackburn told Fox News that Democrats, including Sen. Adam Schiff, fear Kash Patel possibly leading the FBI because he knows their roles in the “Russia collusion” narrative during Trump’s first term.
She claimed Patel has damaging information on key figures and is committed to exposing the truth in Washington.
Blackburn also discussed Democrats’ anger at former members like RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard for working with Trump on “common sense” policies. She said their willingness to cooperate with Trump infuriates Democrats, leading them to try to punish or block their nominations.
She praised RFK Jr.’s potential leadership at HHS, saying he’ll bring transparency, find missing migrant children, and reform federal health agencies. Blackburn noted he’ll work alongside figures like Dr. Oz and Dr. Bhattacharya to fix institutions like the FDA and NIH.
Patel, a former federal prosecutor, helped draft the 2018 Nunes memo accusing the FBI of misconduct in the Trump-Russia investigation.
