Jasmine Crockett’s Campaign Under Federal Probe Over Questionable Donations

Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett is under investigation by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) after a complaint from the conservative Coolidge-Reagan Foundation.

The probe focuses on 53 donations totaling $595 made via ActBlue, allegedly from a 73-year-old Texas man, Randy Best, whose wife denies knowing about the contributions.

The complaint questions whether other donations—over $870,000 to Crockett’s campaign—may also be fraudulent. ActBlue has faced past accusations of facilitating questionable donations, including claims that elderly Americans’ names were used without consent.

Republicans, including Rep. Bryan Steil, are pushing for broader investigations, citing potential nationwide fraud. Meanwhile, ActBlue maintains it adheres to strict security and ethical standards to prevent unlawful activity and ensure donor protection.

The FEC has begun the official investigation process, with parties to be notified of developments.
