Just When Democrats Think Things Couldn’t GET Worse For Them – THEY DO

Confidence in Democratic congressional leadership has hit a record low, according to a new Gallup poll conducted April 1–14. Only 25% of Americans express confidence in Democrats in Congress, down from the previous low of 34% in 2023.

In contrast, 39% say they trust Republican leaders.

Gallup noted that Democrats themselves drove the decline, with confidence among Democratic voters falling 41 points since last year.

The drop follows Democratic losses in the last election, which saw Republicans retake the White House and Senate while holding the House. Republicans also made inroads with Black, Hispanic, and young voters.

A Yale Youth Poll released Tuesday found voters aged 18–21 favored Republicans by 11.7 points, while 22–29-year-olds leaned Democratic. However, voters under 30 showed low favorability toward both parties’ leaders.
