Carlo Acutis’ Sainthood Postponed After Pope Francis’ Death
The Vatican has postponed the canonization of Carlo Acutis following the death of Pope Francis on April 21. Acutis, a London-born Italian teen who died of leukemia in 2006 at age 15, was known for his deep faith, charity work, and documenting Eucharistic miracles online.
He was set to be canonized this Sunday, after being credited with two miracles: healing a Brazilian toddler and a Costa Rican woman with a brain hemorrhage. His body has been preserved in Italy since his death. The Vatican has confirmed the ceremony will be rescheduled.
