Trump Goes There: Admin Strikes Down Key Democrat Policy – ‘Gravy Train Is Over’

Trump Administration Ends Biden-Era Student Loan Forgiveness

Education officials under President Trump announced they will phase out former President Biden’s student loan forgiveness program in the coming weeks.

They criticized private universities for creating an unsustainable funding model, calling them “greedy” and reliant on unlimited federal aid while tuition climbed.

Fox News anchor Dana Perino echoed the administration’s stance, stating, “The gravy train is over,” referencing Biden’s lack of legal authority for forgiveness. Education Secretary Linda McMahon defended resuming loan collections, saying universities misled students while profiting from taxpayer-backed loans.

McMahon argued many degree programs are “worthless” and blamed Biden for making empty promises to young voters. Starting May 5, 1.8 million defaulted borrowers will be placed into repayment plans.

“Debt doesn’t disappear,” McMahon stated. “If borrowers don’t pay, taxpayers do.”
