He joked about the downside of the presidency but acknowledged he might run if no strong candidates emerge, especially from the Democratic Party. Smith has criticized both major parties—calling out Democrats for inaction and Trump for flawed policies—and said he felt misled after supporting Kamala Harris in 2024 without a proper primary.
