Dem Sen. Bennet: Pete Hegseth Will Be Next Cabinet Member Ousted

Senator Michael Bennet suggested Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth could be the next cabinet member ousted, despite President Trump’s repeated support.

On MSNBC, Bennet criticized Hegseth for sharing classified information via the Signal app, calling it one of the most sensitive leaks he’s seen. The Signal chat reportedly included battle plans and involved Hegseth’s wife, brother, lawyer, and Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg, who published the messages.

Trump dismissed concerns, calling questions about Hegseth “stupid,” and praised him as smart and capable. The president said there was no harm from the leak because the Yemen raid succeeded.

Still, Democrats are pushing for Hegseth’s resignation. Trump, however, maintains full confidence in Hegseth and called the controversy a political “witch hunt.” The White House confirmed Trump is standing by his defense secretary.
