At a civil rights event hosted by Rev. Al Sharpton, New York Attorney General Letitia James delivered a fiery speech denouncing President Donald Trump.
She invoked religious imagery, defended diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and vowed to continue her legal battles against him.
“I’m not afraid of Donald Trump,” she declared, referencing Dr. King’s “stone of hope.” James, long a legal adversary of Trump, has sued him and his administration over issues including civil fraud, DEI rollbacks, and immigration.
Her remarks followed Trump’s retaliation moves, including revoking her security clearance and supporting a lawsuit against New York Democrats. Tensions remain high, with Trump ally Mike Davis issuing a public threat against James, accusing her of waging “lawfare” and warning of legal consequences.
