Leavitt Slams CNN For Cartel Member Interview; Praises Trump’s Border Policies

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt criticized CNN for airing what she called a “softball” interview with a masked Sinaloa Cartel member, calling it “despicable” and an example of why trust in mainstream media is declining.

The CNN segment, part of a report on Mexico’s drug violence, drew backlash for giving a platform to a figure from a group designated as a terrorist organization. Leavitt also confirmed Trump’s controversial plan to reopen Alcatraz prison as part of his law-and-order agenda, amid broader proposals to detain criminal aliens in high-security facilities including Guantanamo Bay and possibly El Salvador.
