Team Trump Responds After SCOTUS Allows Transgender Military Ban To Proceed

The U.S. Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration’s transgender military ban to take effect, overturning a lower court injunction without ruling on the broader merits of the policy.

The decision is a legal victory for Trump, whose executive order bars transgender individuals from serving openly in the military. Liberal justices Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson dissented. The administration argued the ban supports military readiness and cohesion, while opponents claim it is discriminatory and unconstitutional. The case, Shilling v. United States, is ongoing, and one of several legal challenges to the policy.
