Trump gives brutal three-word response after Mark Carney says Canada is ‘not for sale’

Trump Jokes Canada Could Be 51st State—Carney Says ‘Never for Sale’

During his first meeting with new Canadian PM Mark Carney, Donald Trump revived the idea of Canada becoming America’s 51st state. Carney firmly rejected it, saying Canada is “never for sale,” comparing the country to Buckingham Palace or the Oval Office.

Still, Trump responded with a grin and a Justin Bieber quote: “Never say never.”

Despite tensions over tariffs, the two leaders exchanged compliments—Trump calling Carney “very talented,” and Carney calling Trump “transformational.” A body language expert described Carney as determined but slightly intimidated, while Trump displayed dominance.
