Veteran pollster Frank Luntz dismissed CNN’s latest anti-Trump narrative, arguing that Democrats’ focus on fired federal workers is failing to connect with voters.
During President Donald Trump’s address to Congress, several Democratic lawmakers invited terminated federal employees to highlight job losses and budget cuts under the administration.
On CNN, Luntz was asked if this strategy—focusing on federal employees, especially veterans, who lost their jobs under Trump—would be effective. His response was a resounding no, as he argued voters see through the politicization of the issue. Luntz compared it to past Democratic missteps, like blaming Republicans for corporate scandals.
Luntz explained that Democrats’ focus on this issue is misguided and not resonating with voters, especially with the ongoing push for cuts by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk.
