Trump Responds After SCOTUS Denies Effort To Stop Hush Money Sentencing

President-elect Donald Trump responded after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to halt his sentencing in the New York “hush money” case.

The court ruled 5–4, with Justices Roberts and Barrett joining the liberal justices.

Speaking at Mar-a-Lago, Trump said, “I’ll do my little thing tomorrow,” calling the case politically motivated. He criticized the gag order and claimed the ruling was “a very good opinion,” suggesting an appeal is likely.

Trump was found guilty of falsifying business records and is scheduled for sentencing on January 10. His legal team argued that the sentencing could disrupt national security during the transition.

Despite appealing the conviction and claiming presidential immunity, the court denied his request. Trump, who maintains his innocence, is expected to take office on January 20 as the 47th President of the United States.
