Romney Calls For Bipartisanship In Farewell Speech After Fighting Trump For Years

In his farewell address to the U.S. Senate, Senator Mitt Romney called for unity amid ongoing partisanship.

Reflecting on his 25 years in public service, he acknowledged both accomplishments and unfulfilled aspirations.

Romney stressed the importance of addressing the national debt, warning that without the burden of interest, the U.S. could triple military spending or double Social Security benefits. He also expressed disappointment in the partisan gridlock hindering progress.

Romney indirectly criticized those undermining unity and values, urging for a return to foundational principles. He concluded by highlighting the need for moral integrity and emphasizing that true strength lies in the character of both leaders and citizens.
