President Donald Trump arrived in Saudi Arabia to begin his first major overseas trip of his second term, with stops also planned in Qatar and the UAE.
He was welcomed with a grand ceremony by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and escorted by Saudi fighter jets.
A viral moment showed Trump initially declining a traditional coffee, though another angle later showed him sipping it. Some speculated it was due to health concerns or personal preference, as Trump is known to avoid alcohol and coffee.
Trump’s team includes Cabinet members like Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. His itinerary includes a business roundtable with tech leaders and a state dinner.
The White House said the trip aims to promote economic cooperation and regional stability. Trump also hinted at a major announcement ahead of the visit.
