Monica Crowley, a conservative commentator and former Treasury official, was confirmed 52-45 as Assistant Secretary of State and Chief of Protocol, with ambassador status.
A longtime Fox News contributor, Crowley previously served in the Trump administration and received the Treasury Department’s top honor, the Alexander Hamilton Award.
President Trump praised her service and appointed her to represent the U.S. at major global events, including America’s 250th birthday and the 2026 World Cup.
Crowley holds a Ph.D. in international relations from Columbia University and began her career with President Nixon. She’s also an author, talk show host, and TV personality.
The U.S. Travel Association applauded her nomination, citing her pivotal role in promoting major upcoming events.
