FBI To Release Files On Crossfire Hurricane, Russia Collusion, Mar-a-Lago Raid

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced that the bureau will begin releasing long-withheld information on several high-profile cases,

including the attempted assassination of Rep. Steve Scalise, the Nashville Christian school shooting, the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, and COVID-19 origins. Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and conservative commentator, said the FBI is working with Congress and the DOJ to ensure transparency while protecting victims’ rights.

Meanwhile, the FBI is assembling a 24/7 security team for Bongino, drawing agents from across the bureau for temporary assignments. This level of protection is unusual and contradicts FBI Director Kash Patel’s goal of moving agents from HQ to fieldwork. NBC News noted the added security lacks a clear explanation, though Bongino could legally carry a firearm himself.
