Ocasio-Cortez Says Trump DOJ ‘Hasn’t Responded’ To Query On Potential Probe

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., stated on Tuesday that the Justice Department has not confirmed whether she is under federal investigation for a “Know Your Rights” immigration webinar she hosted in February.

She expressed frustration over the lack of response from the department despite sending a formal inquiry.

Ocasio-Cortez warned that detaining a lawmaker without grounds would represent a dangerous escalation under the Trump administration. She also raised concerns about how such an action could be perceived globally.

Additionally, DHS officials warned that she could face arrest if she engages in activities similar to recent Democratic protests.
