Rand Paul Pans ‘Luxury Jet’ From Qatar, Says Trump Should Reject It

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) voiced concerns over President Trump accepting a luxury Boeing jet from Qatar, suggesting it could undermine U.S. criticism of Qatar’s human rights record.

In a Fox News interview, Paul questioned if such a gift would cloud the country’s ability to judge Qatar’s violations. He added, “I wouldn’t take it. That’s just me.”

Trump, defending the gift, called it a “great gesture” and argued it would be “stupid” not to accept a free, expensive plane.

However, security experts warned that accepting the jet posed significant risks, as it could contain monitoring devices compromising national security.
