Musk, GOP Push Back on Judges Over Rulings Against Trump Policies
Elon Musk is urging Congress to launch a “wave of impeachments” against federal judges after rulings blocked parts of the Trump administration’s agenda. His call came after U.S. District Judge John Bates ordered the restoration of health datasets removed under a Trump executive order banning promotion of “gender ideology.”
Musk also criticized a separate judge who blocked the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing Treasury data, calling the decisions politically motivated. Trump echoed Musk’s frustration, claiming courts are protecting fraud and hindering reform.
Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) has drafted articles of impeachment against Judge Paul Engelmayer, who halted DOGE’s access to sensitive financial records, citing security risks.
Meanwhile, FEC Chair Ellen Weintraub rejected Trump’s attempt to fire her, calling the move illegal and vowing to stay in her post. Tensions continue to rise as Trump’s administration faces mounting legal resistance.
