Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania is facing waning support from fellow Democrats, particularly in Pittsburgh. A recent poll by a Democratic firm showed 49% of local Democrats view him unfavorably, with only 46% expressing support.
In contrast, Governor Josh Shapiro enjoys 82% approval.
Fetterman’s centrist shift and firm pro-Israel stance have drawn criticism, with reports of internal staff unrest and personal tension with his wife, Gisele. A New York Magazine article also cited concerns over his mental and physical health, following his 2022 stroke.
Despite these challenges, some polls indicate his core base remains loyal. Still, talk of a primary challenge looms as Democratic dissatisfaction grows.
