The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is in turmoil following a 13–2 Credentials Committee vote to void David Hogg’s election as vice chair.
Hogg, a gun control activist, claimed the vote was less about election procedure and more retaliation for his $20 million plan to primary ineffective Democratic lawmakers.
He criticized the party’s leadership for lacking urgency amid national crises and accused the DNC of hypocrisy for citing neutrality while other Democratic groups engage in primaries. Some party members warned the situation risks internal chaos.
A full DNC vote on Hogg’s removal is expected later this year, continuing tensions over reform, neutrality, and internal party control.
