Most Voters Still Support Trump’s Immigration Agenda: Surveys

Most Voters Still Back Trump’s Immigration Policies, Polls Show

Despite criticism, recent polls show strong voter support for Donald Trump’s immigration agenda. A Marquette University poll found 66% of Americans approve of his handling of illegal immigration. A Quantus poll showed his overall approval at 48%, with equal disapproval.

Immigration enforcement remains central to Trump’s platform, now bolstered by a DHS self-deportation program. The initiative offers $1,000 and paid travel for undocumented immigrants who voluntarily leave the U.S. using a government app.

DHS claims this method saves 70% compared to traditional deportation costs. The program aims to reduce taxpayer burden and incentivize voluntary exits, while critics raise concerns about rewarding illegal entry.
