President Donald Trump held a swearing-in ceremony for Jeanine Pirro as interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.
Trump praised Pirro’s legal background and commitment to justice, calling her an ideal choice for the high-profile role. Pirro vowed zero tolerance for criminals.
Shortly after taking office, she announced major developments, including the conviction of Taylor Taranto, who livestreamed bomb threats and was found guilty of multiple federal charges.
Her office also secured lengthy sentences for two men involved in a D.C. drive-by shooting and indicted a suspect in a separate felony assault.
Pirro has quickly made headlines with aggressive federal prosecutions in the nation’s capital.
