Zelensky vows to ‘work constructively’ with Trump for a ‘fast’ peace and reveals he will fly to Saudi Arabia next week where there will be US-Ukraine peace talks following White House showdown

Ukraine will hold peace talks with the US next week, as President Zelensky seeks a “fast” and “lasting” peace deal, following a tense encounter with President Trump at the White House.

Zelensky confirmed that he would travel to Saudi Arabia on Monday for a meeting with the Crown Prince, with his team staying behind for talks with US officials. This comes after Trump cut off intelligence sharing with Kyiv and paused military supplies, signaling a shift in US policy toward Ukraine.

European leaders have responded by boosting defense budgets, with plans to unlock billions in funding for military security, including a loan package to purchase new equipment.
