FBI Director Dan Bongino announced sweeping internal reforms alongside Director Kash Patel, emphasizing accountability and cultural changes.
Bongino said leaders are being reassigned, underperformers removed, and hiring and training standards—especially in physical fitness and defensive tactics—are being updated.
He stressed the need for agents to be able to de-escalate in life-or-death scenarios. Both directors are also pushing for enhanced compliance procedures to prevent past mistakes.
Patel criticized the previous FBI leadership, alleging political bias in handling Hillary Clinton’s email investigation and the Trump-Russia probe.
Evidence from former Director Comey’s tenure has reportedly been uncovered and is being reviewed.
