The IRS reportedly considered felony tax charges against Hunter Biden for withdrawing nearly \$40,000 from his daughter Maisy’s 529 college fund in 2018 and failing to report it as income.
IRS Special Agent Joseph Ziegler testified that the money was used for drugs and prostitutes, according to emails found on Hunter’s laptop.
Though prosecutors ultimately pursued misdemeanor charges, whistleblowers allege the Department of Justice interfered with the investigation.
Hunter also failed to pay taxes on over \$2 million of foreign income.
House Republicans, led by James Comer, claim the Biden family may have received up to \$30 million from overseas sources linked to Hunter’s business dealings.
