Young Dem Wins South Carolina House Seat In Lindsey Graham’s Backyard

A 24-year-old Democrat, Keishan Scott, won a decisive victory in South Carolina’s District 50, an area within Senator Lindsey Graham’s home turf.

Scott defeated Republican William Oden by nearly 41 points, becoming the youngest member of the South Carolina House of Representatives. The district also supported Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

Scott thanked his constituents for their support, emphasizing the win was a collective achievement. His victory was praised by the Democratic National Committee chair, Ken Martin, who criticized Trump and MAGA Republicans.

Meanwhile, Lindsey Graham faced criticism for his recent pro-Ukraine stance, drawing sharp rebuke from former Trump strategist Steve Bannon.
