Heartbroken Parents Issue Urgent Warning After 13-Year-Old Daughter Dies From Chroming

The grieving parents of 13-year-old Esra Haynes, who tragically lost her life after engaging in chroming, are speaking out to warn others about its dangers.

Esra had been at a sleepover in Melbourne, Australia, in March 2023 when she inhaled toxic chemicals, leading to devastating consequences.

Her parents, Andrea and Paul, recalled that it seemed like an ordinary night—Esra was simply spending time with her friends, and they always knew where she was and who she was with. However, they later received a call to pick her up, only to find her unresponsive. Rushed to the hospital, Esra was placed on life support for more than a week. Doctors ultimately informed the family that her brain had suffered irreversible damage.

Faced with an unimaginable decision, the family chose to say their final goodbyes. “We were told to bring family and friends to farewell our 13-year-old daughter,” Paul shared. “It was an incredibly painful moment for such a young life.”

Determined to prevent similar tragedies, Esra’s family is now committed to raising awareness. “This will be our mission,” Paul declared. “We don’t want any other family to endure this heartbreak.”
