Since returning to office in January 2025, President Donald Trump has spent significant taxpayer money on improving his golfing abilities.
He has played 13 rounds of golf, visiting Trump-owned properties like Trump International West Palm Beach and Trump Doral. These trips are estimated to cost taxpayers more than $18 million, including expenses for Air Force One and security.
Trump owns 12 golf properties in the U.S. and several abroad. His golfing habits have previously drawn criticism, with past trips costing taxpayers millions. For instance, his golf excursions during his first term were estimated to cost over $141 million by 2020. Additionally, recent incidents, such as vandalism at Trump’s Turnberry resort, have also made headlines.
