An armed man believed to have traveled from Indiana was shot by U.S. Secret Service agents near the White House early Sunday.
Authorities were alerted by local police about a suicidal individual heading to D.C. The man’s car was found near 17th and G Streets, and officers observed a person matching his description. When approached, the man brandished a firearm, leading to an armed confrontation and shots being fired. The suspect was hospitalized, and his condition remains unknown.
