J.D. Vance Tears Into NBC’s Kristen Welker In Tense Interview

Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance sharply criticized NBC News host Kristen Welker for repeatedly trying to bait him with “gotcha” questions during a tense interview.

Welker pressed Vance on whether he would support Trump’s idea of appointing a special prosecutor to investigate President Biden. Vance responded by emphasizing the importance of investigating potential wrongdoing, asserting that Biden’s administration had engaged in “lawfare” against its political opponents.

Vance argued that Trump’s proposal was reasonable, citing instances of corruption identified by the House Oversight Committee. He rejected Welker’s framing, asserting that the Biden administration had politicized the Justice Department.

Vance concluded that investigating credible accusations of wrongdoing is necessary for maintaining a functioning system of law and order, stressing that such actions wouldn’t threaten democracy.
