Trump Comes To Pam Bondi’s Defense Amid Epstein Controversy

Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday to defend Attorney General Pam Bondi following backlash over a recent Justice Department memo concerning Jeffrey Epstein. The memo concluded that Epstein died by suicide in 2019 and claimed there is no “client list” or evidence of blackmail involving high-profile individuals. This conclusion contradicted long-standing suspicions among many in the MAGA base. Bondi, who had previously promised full transparency, confirmed that no further files would be released, fueling frustration within the movement.

Trump responded by calling Bondi “FANTASTIC” and warned his supporters not to allow the Epstein issue to cause division. “We’re on one Team, MAGA,” he wrote, emphasizing unity. He dismissed the renewed attention to Epstein as a distraction created by political enemies. “Why are we giving publicity to files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration?” Trump questioned.

He further claimed that the Epstein narrative was being used the same way the “Russia hoax” and the “fake Steele Dossier” had been — as tools to undermine him and the movement. Trump asserted that if there had been damaging information in the Epstein files, Democrats would have already released it. Instead, he urged focus on pressing national issues such as the southern border, energy independence, national security, and election integrity.

Meanwhile, internal conflict appears to be brewing within the administration. Reports suggest FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino has clashed with Bondi and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles over the handling of the Epstein memo. CBS News reported that Bongino skipped work after a tense meeting and is considering resigning, raising questions about growing tension at the highest levels.

Despite the controversy and reports of behind-the-scenes turmoil, Trump remained firm in his support for Bondi. “LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB, SHE’S GREAT,” he wrote. Trump concluded by downplaying the importance of the Epstein story: “Don’t waste time on Jeffrey Epstein — nobody cares.”
