The FBI has quietly launched a sweeping investigation into what insiders describe as a decade-long Democratic and “deep state” operation aimed at undermining Donald Trump and interfering in multiple U.S. elections. Sources told Just the News the probe, internally labeled a “grand conspiracy,” could lead to the appointment of a special prosecutor and explore possible criminal coordination dating back to 2016.
The investigation reportedly began after the recent appointment of FBI Director Kash Patel. Key evidence may soon be declassified, including a classified annex from the Clinton email server probe and a document from Special Counsel John Durham’s Russiagate report. The annex allegedly shows the FBI ignored credible evidence of misconduct, while Durham’s document suggests the Clinton campaign knowingly pushed a false Russia collusion narrative.
Former CIA Director John Brennan is also under scrutiny. Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe has accused Brennan of promoting the Steele dossier despite knowing its flaws, calling the intelligence process under Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey “atypical and corrupt.”
The Trump team is also weighing a special counsel to investigate 2020 election interference claims, including allegations that the FBI suppressed intelligence about Chinese efforts to use fake mail-in ballots. Legal experts say tying older events to newer ones through a broader conspiracy case could extend statutes of limitations.
One proposed venue for a grand jury is Florida—outside the traditionally anti-Trump D.C. courts—where overt acts allegedly occurred and legal timelines remain viable.
