Second lady Usha Vance has been appointed to lead the presidential delegation to the 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy, as announced by President Donald Trump’s office.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday.
Usha, a lawyer, has been married to Vice President JD Vance since 2014, and they have three children. She attended Trump’s recent address to Congress, sitting next to former high school volleyball player Payton McNabb. McNabb expressed her disappointment over the Senate not codifying Trump’s executive order on transgender athletes.
Other members of the presidential delegation include Shawn Crowley, T.H. Trent Michael Morse, and Rachel Campos-Duffy, among others.
