President Trump stepped off Marine One on Wednesday in a combative mood, touting his trade victories and targeting political rivals, attempting to shift focus from recent remarks related to Jeffrey Epstein. Among his verbal attacks were Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), whom he mocked as “low IQ,” suggesting they take IQ tests to prove otherwise. “I think she’s very nice but she’s very low IQ,” Trump said about Ocasio-Cortez. “Between her and Crockett, we’re going to give them both an IQ test to see who comes out best.”
Trump boasted about his own mental acuity, saying, “I took my test, a real test at Walter Reed Medical Center, and I aced it. I got all of those questions right. Now it’s time for them to take a test.”
The remarks followed renewed tensions after Ocasio-Cortez posted on social media, calling Trump a “rapist”—a reference to the E. Jean Carroll case. Trump’s allies pushed for legal action, noting his recent $15 million settlement with ABC News after anchor George Stephanopoulos repeated the claim during an interview.
The feud dates back to June, when AOC fired back after Trump called her “dumb.” She replied, “Don’t take your anger out on me – I’m just a silly girl. Take it out on whoever convinced you to betray the American people by illegally bombing Iran.”
Trump, en route to a NATO summit in the Netherlands, responded by labeling her “one of the dumbest people in Congress” and credited Democratic outrage to “all the victories” under his administration.
