Conservative Commentator Jeff Dunetz Dies at 67
Jeff Dunetz, a prominent conservative commentator, blogger, and Israeli historian, passed away at the age of 67 after battling various health issues over the past year. Known for his humor and resilience, Dunetz remained upbeat even in his final days, often cracking jokes at his own expense.
A lifelong New Yorker, Dunetz graduated from Oceanside High School and later pursued political science and management, earning degrees from the University of Albany and Hofstra University. He spent much of his professional career in magazine marketing and advertising, working for major brands including Disney Publishing, Nickelodeon, MTV, and Marvel Comics.
His true calling emerged in political commentary. In 2013, Dunetz launched The Lid Blog, where he delivered sharp, timely analysis of American and Israeli politics. He quickly gained a loyal following and became a well-known voice in the conservative blogosphere. His writings also appeared in The Jewish Press, Aish.com, PJ Media, The Jewish Star, Breitbart News, and more. He hosted The Lid Radio Show on SHR Media and High Plains Talk Radio.
