Donald Trump criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claiming that he is not interested in achieving peace with Russia. The criticism came after Zelensky stated that peace was “still very, very far away,” which angered Trump.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump remarked that this statement was the “worst” Zelensky could have made and warned that America would not tolerate it much longer.
Trump also expressed frustration with European leaders, who, in a recent summit, emphasized that they could not address Ukraine’s situation without U.S. support.
As the war in Ukraine continues, Trump has called for an end to the conflict, pressuring Kyiv to negotiate peace and questioning Zelensky’s approach.
The comments come as U.S. officials discuss the future of American aid to Ukraine.
