CIA Director John Ratcliffe stated there may still be indictments and prosecutions related to the so-called Russian collusion hoax targeting former President Donald Trump. Speaking on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo, Ratcliffe accused Hillary Clinton of orchestrating the scheme to falsely link Trump to Russia using the discredited Steele Dossier. He also claimed former President Barack Obama and officials including FBI Director James Comey and CIA Director John Brennan lied under oath about their involvement.
Ratcliffe described the effort as “a Hillary Clinton campaign scheme” aimed at damaging Trump’s 2016 campaign. When Bartiromo asked about possible indictments, Ratcliffe confirmed he had made referrals and was sharing intelligence with the Department of Justice to pursue accountability against those involved.
Former Representative Tulsi Gabbard also submitted a criminal referral, accusing Obama of masterminding the operation and calling it a “treasonous conspiracy.”
Recently released documents include an email exchange revealing internal concerns over the Steele Dossier’s role in intelligence assessments. A 2019 email from a senior official at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence expressed worry that the dossier might have been used improperly in crafting intelligence reports, potentially without full disclosure to all relevant analysts.
This email exchange highlights ongoing questions about the dossier’s involvement in the 2016 Russia investigations and fuels claims of deception within the intelligence community. Ratcliffe’s statements suggest further legal actions could still follow against those he believes orchestrated the collusion narrative.
