The FBI, led by Director Kash Patel, has announced the arrests of two active-duty U.S. Army soldiers and a veteran on charges of treason.
Jian Zhao and Li Tian, active-duty soldiers at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, and Ruoyu Duan, a former soldier, were caught selling U.S. national security secrets to China. Zhao was charged with transmitting classified defense information and bribery, while Tian and Duan faced charges related to bribery and theft. The men allegedly provided sensitive military details, including weapon systems and classified hard drives, in exchange for money. Attorney General Pam Bondi emphasized the betrayal of national security, and Patel vowed to continue efforts to prevent such breaches and hold those accountable.
